The dad of one of Coronation Street's youngest stars has shared his pride after his son's awards nod.

He is now celebrating after being shortlisted for the newcomer award at the National Television Awards, due to be held in September.
He'll be up against Rose Ayling-Ellis, who plays Frankie Lewis in EastEnders, Hollyoaks' Summer Ranger actress Rhiannon Celments, Olivia D'Lima who stars as paramedic Fenisha Khatri in Casualty and Emmerdale's Ethan Anderson actor Emile John.
