Among all the action on the cobbles, Tyrone Dobbs and Kirk Sutherland were able to head out to taste test a few cocktails.
The pals swapped the Rovers for the fancy Chariot Square Hotel where the mechanic and girlfriend Alina Pop had planned to celebrate their pregnancy news.
With pregnant Alina not feeling up to the celebration after a concerning hospital dash, Tyrone went along anyway with only Kirk showing up, claiming wife Beth had a migraine and Kevin Webster was staying home with grieving fiance Abi Franklin.
A deflated Tyrone was willing to let Kirk go home but once he began talking about his upset over daughter Hope, Kirk stuck around knowing her needed a friend.

The pair then gasped as they realised the prices of the cocktails and Kirk suggested they go back to the Rovers.
In the end, the pair decided to stay for at least one so they could pretend they had been sampling the fancy drinks all night.
But viewers later saw them a few cocktails down and deciding what to order next before Tyrone received an alarming phone call about the flat fire.
However, those watching the ITV soap were distracted all the while - by the lads' attire.
Tyrone's new dress sense has been the topic of many discussion among fans of late so his latest floral number was no different.
But Kirk also caught viewer's eye in multi-coloured striped shirt.
"Kirk and Tyrone forming the bad shirt parade #Corrie," tweeted one.
Another asked: "Where do Corrie get their shirts from #Corrie."
"How many of Joseph's Technicolour Dreamcoats suffered for Kirk's shirt? #Corrie #CoronationStreet," a third joked.
A fourth added: "Did Beth get a migraine after seeing Kirky's shirt? #Corrie."
"Looks like Tyrone’s just noticed he accidentally took one of Toyah’s shirts…" another laughed.
And some just simply loved Kirk's look.
"Kirk's shirt. I love it," a fan tweeted.
Another said: "Wow Kirk's shirt though #Corrie."
"I love Kirk's shirt #Corrie," a third added.
