Coronation Street fans were baffled by the events in Monday night's soap double bill.
The episodes started with Shona Ramsey fretting that she'd run over something or someone - who turned out to be neighbour Todd Grimshaw - in her husband David's car.
Shona let herself back into 8 Coronation Street early in the morning to find David waiting for her and her concerned hubby asking where she'd been.

"I hit something. I think it was more like someone," she told him.

But the hit and run itself wasn't shown, leading viewers to think they had missed an episode.
Then fans of the soap were further confused when Rovers Return barmaid Daisy Midgeley and DJ Ryan Connor were presented as boyfriend and girlfriend.
Viewers recall Daisy plotting Ryan's split from his ex Alya Nazir after they had a boozy cocktail testing night at the Rovers and he stayed over. But they had no idea they'd since become a couple.
"This is a weird episode. I feels as if I’ve missed an ep," said one soap watcher.
"Did we miss an episode of #Corrie seems like we did," another asked.
"Have I missed an episode?? Since when was Ryan and Daisy a couple, and I don’t seem to recall Shona running someone over?!" exclaimed another.

"I wish we would have seen the crash," another viewer complained.
"Right. Have I missed an episode?" another fan challenged.
"I can get on board with the dramatic opener with Shona, but I refuse to hit the ground running with the concept that Daisy is Ryan's GIRLFRIEND."
"Hold on, am I missing something? When did Ryan and *shudders* Daisy become an item in #corrie??" another fan asked.
Another viewer asked "is there some mistake?" while another pointed out: "Lots of us confused by Corrie tonight."
But another Corrie fan praised: "Loved the set up for Shona hitting Todd.
"Going from two separate stories not knowing answers and eventually linking them together from other Weatherfield residents reflected the community side of #Corrie in a perfect way."
Shona and David decided Shona, who was moving the car for him but isn't allowed to drive, must have hit an animal and they asked mechanic Abi Franklin to repair the damage.
However on the other side of the street Eileen Grimshaw was breaking the horrifying news that her son had been involved in a hit and run accident and was in hospital with broken ribs and concussion.
Explaining the accident to David, Shona said: "I was in a hurry. My slipper got caught underneath the clutch. I looked down to try and free it."
On Wednesday PC Craig Tinker calls at number 8 and informs David that they found his car dumped in a pub car park miles away with a huge dent in it.
Later Sarah Barlow is shocked to witness Craig arresting her brother on suspicion of failing to stop and report a road traffic accident.
