Corrie stars Samia Longchambon and Tina O'Brien mock throwback photo of themselves looking 'so 2001'

Corrie favourites Samia Longchambon and Tina O'Brien saw the funny side when an old photo from the noughties was unearthed.

The stars, who play Maria Connor and Sarah Barlow, shared a laugh over a nostalgic picture of themselves looking 'so 2001' on the red carpet.

The throwback picture of Samia and Tina with former co-star Nikki Sanderson delighted fans and received a big reaction when it was shared by the Instagram meme site Hunsnet.

The snap shows the trio all wearing cropped tops and jeans cut off at the waist.

Samia, now 39, wore a pink one-shoulder top and she sported contrasting white streaks in her hair that were so on-trend at the time.

Hollyoaks actress Nikki, 37, who played Sarah's best friend Candice Stowe in Coronation Street, showcased her belly button piercing in a lilac shimmery top.

And Tina, 38, smiled for the cameras as she held Nikki's hand wearing a silky corset top and distressed denims.

"When you and the girlies cut off the waistbandz of your jeans and a nice top ensemble because yew'm dead kookehhhhh!" read the caption.

It was shared with Tina and Nikki by Samia who wrote 'squad' with crying-laughing and zany face emojis.

And Tina replied with a crying-laughing face.

Some followers mistook them for the girl band Atomic Kitten.

"Thought these were Tommic Kitts then!" remarked one.

And another said: "The white cropped highlights tho."

A second commented: "Blended is soooo 2001."

"This makes me feel so nostalgic. What a trio," marvelled another follower.

"The good old days," commented another.

Another follower said: "Pretty sure every pair of Levi’s we owned in sixth form had the waist band missing."

"Christmas outfits sorted," joked another, while another fan said "I would still wear every one of these outfits today."
