The cast of Coronation Street are "panicking" after bosses reportedly put contract negotiations on hold during the coronavirus crisis.
Filming of the ITV soap has been suspended during the outbreak, and now it's been reported that contract discussion have also been postponed.
The Sun On Sunday reports that several of the castmembers have deals that are due to run out within the next few months, including Samia Longchambon, 37, Sam Robertson, 34, and Charlie de Melo, 28.
As source told the publication that negotiations on new deals will just have to wait.
They said: "This is a very uncertain time -and that’s particularly true for those whose contracts are up for renewal.
“It was very unsettling for them to be sent home knowing the future isn’t decided.
"The show’s bosses have done everything to reassure them, but until some sort of normality is resumed, negotiations won’t be completed."
Last month, ITV bosses confirmed they were halting production on both Coronation Street and Emmerdale due to the pandemic.
They also decided to cut the amount of episodes shown each week in a bid to keep the shows on air for as long as possible.

ITV chiefs recently admitted they only have enough filmed shows in the can to last until early summer at the latest.
A statement from the company explained: "The two biggest soaps on TV, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, will continue to run through the Spring and into the early Summer."
Corrie filming ended this week and will now only air three episodes a week, while cast members not in self-isolation had to deal with last-minute script changes last week.
Emmerdale is also down to three episodes a week.
