Corrie stars Jack P Shepherd and Colson Smith detail furious feud - over mugs

They're not seen on screen together very often but Jack P Shepherd and Colson Smith are the best of mates of it.

But a furious row almost brought an end to that - and it escalated over mugs.

The Coronation Street stars were speaking on their  Sofa Cinema Club podcast, which they host with Ben Price, when they discussed the secret fued.

Colson, who plays Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, started by explaining the foot injury he suffered at the end of last year which has left him 'crying' after going for a run on Christmas Day.

Frustrated by not being able to keep up his fitness regime or visit any physiotherapists due to Tier 4 restrictions at the time, plus the pain, his anger was taken out on Jack.

It only got worse when Colson, days after his injury, decided to go on a walk in Manchester as he was unable to run but ended up getting lost and walking "25 miles in one direction."

After walking for hours, the 22-year-old said he inflicted more pain on to himself with a new knee injury.

"I took it out on Jack actually with the mugs," Colson explained on the podcast.

"[Sofa Cinema Club] are going to release some limited-edition mugs. To get the mugs, I needed to do something to the logo."

After sending some new designs to his co-star to "prove he'd done the job," Colson wasn't happy with Jack's, who plays Corrie's David Platt, reply.

"After, Jack said, 'It looks a bit s***'," Colson said. "I was like, 'It's not going to f***ing look like that is it? That's why I've done that'."

He added: "He hasn't got a clue what's going on because he left school at eight to go an entertain people."

Jack wasn't too phased by Colson's outburst (Jack P Shepherd)

"I was so tempted to turn around and say, 'Jack, do it yourself'," he said. "But I thought, 'No, I'm going to battle on with him because he's just being awkward'."

Clearly not letting it get to him Jack, replied: "I just wasn't sure about them being white, that's all."

Luckily, it wasn't too serious and the pair are still happily working together away from Weatherfield.
