It was a far cry from the antics on the Coronation Street cobbles as soap favourites headed to the circus.
Adam Hussain and Tanisha Gorey have seen their characters Aadi and Asha Alahan juggle some major upheavals in their lives in Corrie.
But the stars were all smiles as they had an evening away from soapland Weatherfield.

Adam and Tanisha are members of Corrie's talented brat pack, winning high praise for their portrayal of hard-hitting storylines including the brutal murder of Seb Franklin and the aftermath of the horrific events.

The pair swapped the cobbles for the red carpet premiere of the new TV series The Real Greatest Showmen which airs on Amazon Prime from today (Monday July 5).
Also enjoying a night under the big top with Circus Extreme at the Trafford Centre was Millie Gibson, from Broadbottom, who plays troubled teen Kelly Neelan.
Her tearaway Coronation Street character was charged with the brutal murder of handyman Seb in May after he was chased and set upon along with his goth girlfriend Nina Lucas for the way she looked.

Both Tanisha and Millie embraced the summer in soft yellow outfits for the premiere.
Oldham-born Tanisha brought the sunshine in a pale lemon drop colour dress teamed with a pristine white jacket and trainers.
And Millie made a statement in a buttery yellow blazer with blue jeans.

Former Corrie star Melissa Johns, who played Imogen Pascoe, looked stunning in a khaki leaf print playsuit for the event.
And glamorous The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Nicole Sealey turned heads in a red split-to-the-thigh dress.
The reality star looked amused as her husband Joe tried out a flame thrower.

The night at the circus celebrated the ground-breaking new Amazon TV series which goes behind the scenes.
The Real Greatest Showmen reveals the story behind Circus Extreme which is at the Trafford Centre Sunday July 18.
Yorkshire based Make A Difference Films travelled with the circus over a seven-month period to give an insight into circus life involving a touring cast and crew of 64 with a big top the size of a football pitch.
Producer, Tippy Watson explained: “When we began travelling with Circus Extreme, we learned so much, not just about the artists total dedication to their performance, rehearsing for hours every day before a show, but also about how so many different cultures, religions and races all live together as one supportive family.
"We can all learn a lot from this harmonious, multi-racial community, living in a 'bubble' and often whose lives literally depend on one another."
Series one will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video and series two filming has already begun.
