Coronation Street favourite Tina O'Brien has shared a call to 'save the arts' while reinforcing the message with photos documenting her TV career.
The Corrie actress, who has played Sarah Platt in the soap since 1999, posted the rallying hashtag '#savethearts' while sharing photos of herself as Sarah over the years and playing Bex Fisher in the Rochdale school drama Waterloo Road in 2010.
The throwback photos posted on Instagram show a young Sarah, her mum Gail and adopted dad Martin with baby Bethany after she gave birth at the age of 13.
Another photo shows the dramatic scene when she was attacked by Callum Logan before he was killed in a live episode in September to mark ITV's 60th anniversary.
Her post came after £1.5bn rescue package for theatres, galleries and museums from the government was been welcomed by Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre and local leaders.
