Corrie star teases first look at gritty upcoming scenes ahead of 'explosive exit'

Coronation Street's Millie Gibson has teased a first look at some upcoming gritty scenes on the ITV soap.

The actress - who plays Kelly Neelan on the soap - is expected to leave the show in a dramatic storyline soon, with sources suggesting it could involve Kelly finding out that her friend and confidante Gary Windass was responsible for her father Rick Neelan's death. Gary murdered loan shark Rick in scenes airing months ago, but the secret has remained hidden for now.

Rick's body was discovered in the hiding place Gary left it when a construction project began, whilst Kelly has also just lost her mum Laura, who passed away after a health battle. Before her death, Laura had been trying to find out what happened to Rick.

She hired a private investigator, and eventually it was found out that he had wronged a lot of people and Kelly set it in her mind to help out and give money back to those who her dad had gone against.

However, it soon turned bad and one of Rick's enemies decided to kidnap Kelly, with Gary forced to step in to try and help her out of the sticky situation. He had warned her of the risks but she still went ahead with it all.

The actress shared new snaps from late night filming for what could be some of her final scenes.

If the pictures are anything to go by, it looks like Kelly has some dramatic twists and turns in her storyline to come before she reportedly leaves the Cobbles for good.

A source said of the star's exit storyline previously: "Millie’s a huge talent. She has loved her time on the soap but there’s a lot of excitement about what she’s going to do next. Everyone has been sworn to secrecy over her exit storyline.

"It’s going to be explosive. Millie’s not even telling people if the door has been left open for her. Gary’s managed to keep his involvement in the death secret, but it looks like Kelly will finally discover the truth."

Fans will no doubt be fearing Kelly could be Gary's next victim if she was to rumble the truth - but what will her exit storyline be and will she make it out of Coronation Street alive?
