Corrie star teases Carla will ‘blow’ after Sarah pleads with Adam not to be a donor

It looks like there could be more drama ahead for Coronation Street's Carla Connor and Sarah Platt.

The two women aren't exactly the best of friends after Carla slept with Adam Barlow, and things are about to get even worse.

Carla will be left unimpressed when she finds out that Sarah has tried to persuade her husband Adam not to be a donor for Carla's husband Peter.

Speaking to press including The Mirror, Tina O'Brien spoke about Sarah's reaction Adam's shock news.

"She’s actually quite mean about it really, she’s quite strong in her feelings," Tina revealed.

"I think it’s the way, she basically finds out through Carla and there again lies the problem. I think she feels that she’s been left out of a conversation, Carla knows more than she does and it’s her husband, to go ahead with these quite invasive tests and I think she feels left out and hurt."

Tina continued: "She’s not very sensitive about the situation, if I’m honest. The way she responds to it is very much, ‘I think this is a very bad idea, I don’t think you should be doing this, you’re young, you’ve got your life ahead of you, don’t do it... Peter’s just going to get drunk again and need another liver!'

"I think you can absolutely see it from all points of view. I can understand why Peter has agreed to let Adam go ahead and get the tests, and I can understand why Adam’s doing it," Tina continued.

"But I can, at the same time, understand Sarah’s viewpoint which is, ‘are you doing this for guilt? because you feel guilty for sleeping with Peter’s partner?'

"Because if that’s the case, that’s the wrong reason to go through with surgery like this, because you could be very ill, it could be really bad for you. It could affect our chances in the future if we wanted our own family."

Asked about how Carla will react when she discovers Sarah has been meddling, Tina added: "I think she knows that Carla will likely blow.

"I don’t think what she is expecting is the fact that Carla basically says, 'you’re doing this because you’re annoyed that I slept with him'.

"Which I don’t know if Sarah is doing it for that reason or not, it’s hard to know. I think it is more thinking about their future."

Tina then teased: "I think Sarah can sometimes say some things that can be quite wounding, which will be coming up soon."
