Corrie star Sam Aston's wife reveals the adorable way she told him she was pregnant

Coronation Street star Sam Aston's wife has revealed the unique way she revealed she was expecting their first child - and it's adorable.

Yoga teacher Briony Aston has been reminiscing on her Instagram about the moment she told Sam he was set to become a dad.

Briony posted a picture of a breakfast of egg and soldiers which she’d prepared for the Corrie actor, placed on a wooden table board that read 'Daddy, you’re a good egg' along with a pregnancy test.

She captioned the post with: "Sat waiting for my next midwife appointment and reminiscing over when our incredible journey started (the morning I woke at 3am and had to wait til breakfast time to tell Sam)."

Followers were touched by the gesture.

"Awww that’s perfect," said one.

"What a fantastic way to announce it," said another.

"Love the unique way you announced it to Sam xxxx" said another follower.

The Coronation Street favourite and his wife announced their exciting news in May after getting married last year.

The parents-to-be announced the pregnancy news to OK! Magazine and simply said: "We're so happy!"

Sam, who plays Chesney Brown in the ITV soap, married childhood sweetheart Briony in a stunning Cheshire ceremony last May with the couple recently celebrating their first wedding anniversary.

The wedding was attended by many of Sam's castmates including Brooke Vincent, Katie McGlynn,  Alan Halsall  and Jennie McAlpine who plays his on-screen sister Fizz in the  ITV  soap.

The romantic nuptials were held on Stock Farm just on the edge of Tatton Park in Cheshire and Sam, 27, said he was "the luckiest man alive."

Sam took to one knee and proposed to his partner of five years in summer 2017, in front of over 250 people, at the annual charity golf dinner that he hosts with co-stars Alan and Andy Whyment at the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel in Salford.

The Weatherfield star has played Chesney for 16 years and his character recently became a father-of-five after girlfriend Gemma gave birth to quadruplets.
