Corrie star Sair Khan's boyfriend shares update from hospital bed after tumour surgery

Coronation Street star Sair Khan's beloved boyfriend Nathan Chilton is currently recovering after undergoing surgery to remove a benign bone tumour in his pelvis.

The soap star's brave beau has been documenting his health journey on Instagram in recent months as he kept fans updated with surgery plans going forward.

Earlier this week, Nathan finally underwent surgery to remove the tumour from his pelvis after he faced heartache last month when his operation was cancelled at the very last minute.

Sair's brave boyfriend shared an update from his hospital bed after going under the knife where he thanked his followers for their incredible support throughout his journey.

Nathan looked worn out while lying in bed as he shared: "Second physio session of the day. I managed to sit up on the edge of the bed, transfer myself to the commode, get up from the commode with a zimmer frame and walk three steps.

Girlfriend Sair also took to her Instagram Story to show her gratitude for the support Nathan had received.

"Wow, I'm already so overwhelmed by the kind messages I've received about my post, so thank you very much.

Sair, who plays Alya Nazir in Coronation Street, continued: "Nathan has been on a long journey to have his pelvic chondroblastoma removed.

"He's been documenting the story on YouTube with the aim of helping others going through similar life changes.

"It can be a really isolating experience. I'm so proud of him for being so open and vulnerable in the hope that others won't feel so alone."

The chiropractor was due to have surgery on December 29, but just minutes before he was due to go under the knife, it was cancelled.

At the time, Nathan's consultant fell ill and was unable to do the surgery.

The soap star's boyfriend was left disappointed by the situation, describing it as the 'biggest anti-climax' of his life.

Detailing the series of events on his Instagram story, Nathan explained: "The bit leading up to the surgery is quite intense.

"I was literally told the ten minutes before I was set to go down, so I was obviously saying my goodbyes, shedding tears, feeling scared, terrified, a bit in shock, disbelief, to then all of a sudden being told it's not happening today.

"I had a little bit of sleep, grounded myself and then just accepted it for what it is. It's out of my control."

Sair and Nathan first began dating after the soap star split from Simone Lennon in 2019 following a two-year relationship.
