Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank had a very simple response to one soap viewer who has taken a disliking to his character.
The Billy Mayhew actor was flooded with praise over the weekend following scenes aired on the ITV soap on Friday.
The on-screen vicar was involved in emotional scenes after his goddaughter Summer Spellman was rushed to hospital after struggling to cope with her insulin injections for her diabetes.
It came after Billy and Summer discovered Todd Grimshaw's deception since arriving back in Weatherfield to win back his ex - leaving his family heartbroken.
But despite being flooded with compliments, there was one negative comment that caught Dan's eye.
And his was quick to hit back with a sassy one-word response.
The Corrie viewer tweeted: "#coronationstreet #corrie cannot stand Billy.
"When he does his angry vicar talking through his teeth…he looks like Eccles the dog."
Dan jokingly replied: "Flirt.." with a winking face emoji.
But fans were quick to compliment Dan once more.
"You do have lovely teeth though," one said.
Another replied: "Eccles has the last laugh!! We love Billy!!"
"Good job Billy is calm and gorgeous most of the time then eh? #coronationstreet," a third added.
A fourth said: "Love Angry Billy and his Fire and Brimstone voice."
Eccles was the Border Terrier who was owned by Blanche Hunt after he friend left the pooch to her when she died.
But when Blanche also passed, the dog ended up staying with Ken Barlow .
There were then devasting scenes last April when Eccles had to be put down after tumours were found that had spread inoperably from her spleen.
