Coronation Street star Andy Whyment put club rivalry aside to be a special guest at Jack Grealish's sister's 18th birthday.

The Kirk Sutherland actor is an avid Manchester United fan but helped Manchester City's No.10 pull off the sweet surprise for his little sister.

Jack, 25, arranged for Hollie's for her favourite soap character to make a guest appearance at her big birthday bash on Sunday.

Andy shared his joy at being able to surprise 'one of the biggest Coronation Street fans' with a couple of snaps on Instagram.

Andy also took his son and daughter along who joined Jack for another photo.

"Absolute pleasure to surprise @holliegrealish one of the biggest @coronationstreet fans I know tonight for her 18th Birthday," he wrote to his social media followers

Hollie was among the first to comment, thanking Andy for coming along.

"You’ve made my night complete, thank you so much for coming, hopefully I’ll see you soon," she said.

Andy's Corrie co-star Sally Carmen, who plays Abi Franklin, also commented, writing: "That’s so lovely Sandy."
