Coronation Street actress Tracie Bennett has teased her character Sharon Bentley might regret aiding her nephew Harvey in his evil plan.
It was revealed earlier this week that Sharon was the aunt of drug dealer and gangster Harvey, who is seeking revenge on Leanne Battersby.
Sharon, who left the ITV soap in the the late 90s, was seemingly returning to make amends with Rita Sullivan following a battle with cancer.
But on Monday, fans learned she was actually back to help her nephew Harvey, played by Will Mellor, who is currently in prison.
After his crime organisation was rumbled with the help of Leanne and her son Simon Barlow, he was arrested - with Simon and Leanne set to provide evidence against him when he faces a trial soon.
But after planning to kill her, Will has enlisted the help of aunt Sharon to find the mother and son to stop them giving evidence.
Sharon is seemingly going along with it, but actress Tracie confessed there is a "limit" to how far she will help him.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, she hinted there was danger ahead when Harvey takes his anger out on her - with Sharon set to struggle with her secret.
She explained: "There's kind of a limit coming, because he gets a bit sassy and she’s like, 'listen love, don't push yourself'. But then eventually she's a bit terrified when she realises he's a bit of a psycho.
"Then it's death threats. How far will Harvey go? The death threat on me is a problem, because then you see Sharon struggling with her morality.
"She's selfish but she might go down for 30 years for something she does. She's a bit torn. Then she's realising oh my god, that's really dangerous to me now. What am I going to do about Harvey?"
On her reasons for helping Harvey, she went on: "She got cancer and Wayne looked after her very well, and took deep care of her and got her through it. She feels she owes something to him and they got on really well.
"Harvey is using her because his dad Wayne did that favour for her, so she's been left Wayne's whole business. Harvey emotionally blackmails her."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
