Corrie star gives a brilliant response to viewer's cheeky question about the Billy and Todd storyline

Corrie fans have just seen Billy Mayhew reunited with his past love Todd Grimshaw in the soap, leaving them wondering if there could be a romantic reunion.

Viewers are questioning if the return of Todd could wreck his relationship with Paul Foreman who stepped into the picture after Todd went on the run in 2017.

A love triangle is now forming on the show.

And actor Daniel Brocklebank, who plays vicar Billy, stepped in personally when one fan cheekily tweeted to asked why Todd would be fighting for him again.

"Because he's hot," he replied simply, with a blowing kiss emoji.

"Oh yes you are," agreed another fan.

"Yes you are," approved another with a flames emoji.

"Yes you are Dan," another praised.

Billy was gobsmacked when his ex, who has been missing for three years, appeared at the top of the stairs at his mum Eileen's house.

And he ruffled Billy's feathers on Coronation Street by admitting he still has feelings for him and reminding him of how good they were together.

Billy assured his new love Paul that Todd was the love of his life, but not anymore.

But Paul is unconvinced, worried that Billy has settled for second best.

The last time viewers saw the character Todd was when he fled Weatherfield with Billy’s goddaughter Summer Spellman.

He went on the run after her grandmother Geraldine attempted to gain custody of the girl.

When they were tracked down by the police, Todd assaulted a police officer and ran off on his own, and Summer returned to Weatherfield on her own.

He was previously played by Bruno Langley and Gareth Pierce has now taken over the role.

Newcomer Gareth previously said about joining the soap: “I’m thrilled to be joining such an iconic show, and to have been entrusted with taking Todd forward into some really exciting storylines.

“It’s an honour to be part of the dedicated Coronation Street team in such unprecedented times.”
