Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan thought she was 'going to die' when she was followed by a man while walking the dog.
But the actress, who plays calculating Daisy Midgeley on the cobbles, admits she 'forgets' she's on the television and millions of people now know who she is.
It turns out the man who was following her has recognised her from the show and just wanted a picture with the star.
Charlotte, who joined Corrie as Jenny Connor's former stepdaughter back in November, told The Sun’s TV mag: "I did have an experience where I was walking the dog. I was just a bit confused because you know when you can tell someone’s following you?
"This grown man was following me and I picked up the pace and then he was walking faster, and I thought: 'Oh my God, this is how I die…'."
The 26-year-old actress continued: "Then he started saying my name and I was like: 'That’s really weird, how does he know my name?' stressing out and he was like: 'I just want a picture!'"
Charlotte put it down to not being used to being recognised by adults after joining the ITV soap after starring as Gaby Grant in the Netflix series Free Rein.
"I forget I’m on television. It was a bit weird, not something I'm used to.

"I'm not used to being recognised and if I was recognised before it was by very young children because in the stuff I’ve done before I’ve just played teenagers. So I’ve not been recognised by fully grown adults before."
Charlotte has also revealed that her boyfriend will be joining Coronation Street - sort of.
Daisy Midgeley is set to make a move on Ryan Connor in scenes to air next week.
Placing her hand on Ryan’s leg, Daisy wonders which cocktail he’d prefer, the naggy girlfriend or the night of wild passion.
But it wasn't Ryan's thigh at all - or actor Ryan Prescott's - as it was in fact a thigh double, aka Charlotte's boyfriend.
This is likely to disgruntle viewers even further as Ryan is in a relationship with Alya Nazir and Daisy has also found herself in trouble over her work with Double Glammy.
But Charlotte has nothing but nice things to say about Corrie fans.

"I’m a very boring person so I don’t go out a lot. But if I am about it’s because I have to walk my dog. I live close to where we film Corrie, so they’ll have people come and wait outside the studio so sometimes I’ll meet people there," she added to The Sun.
"Everyone’s very polite, very complimentary, very respectful. They’re a very kind fanbase."
