Corrie star fires back at followers over 'too old' comments with 'hot' selfie

Coronation Street's Daniel Brocklebank has fired back at negative comments in the best way.

The actor is best known for playing vicar Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap.

Dan regularly shares updates with his followers on social media, giving them a glimpse into his relaxed life away from the set.

From long scenic walks, to chilling with his gorgeous Dachshunds.

But it turns out there's one thing some of his fans are not happy with - so Dan has fired back with a shirtless snap on social media.

Sharing a 'hot' selfie to Instagram on Tuesday evening, Dan wrote: "I’ve had a few messages on here from people telling me I’m too old to wear a cap backwards. So this one’s for them," with the picture including him wearing his snapback backwards.

The 41-year-old added: "Ps: You’re never too old for anything. Growing old is inevitable, if we’re lucky. Growing up is a choice."

Former Corrie co-star Kate McGlynn was among the firs to comment on the post, simply sharing the fire, love heart eyes and clapping emoji.

Hayley Tamaddon, who has started in both Corrie and Emmerdale, also had her say, writing: "Screw them. You look fit."

Fans were also on Dan's side - and flooded him with compliments.

"Crikey people are hard work. Wear a hat, don’t wear a hat. Why do people need an opinion on everyone else?!" one said.

Another commented: "Umm they need there eyes checked lol."

"Nah it’s really hot on you," a third agreed.

A fourth added: "Not too old. Too hot."

"What do they know @danielbrocklebank ! Suits you! We are never too old to wear what we want to wear! You’re gorgeous with or without cap backwards!!" another gushed.
