Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell has showed off her dramatic hair transformation - and soap fans and her co-stars are loving it.
The compliments have been flooding in since Alexandra, who plays Corrie hairdresser Emma Brooker, showed off her new long braided hairstyle on her Instagram account.
Posting a photo on a canalside walk in Manchester, she captioned it "long walks, long locks", showing off a very different look to her signature curls .

Then on Wednesday she posted more photos of her new braided hair style as she headed to the big opening night of Anna X at the Lowry Theatre in Salford with her fiance, fellow actor Joe Parker.
Her Corrie co-stars were among those wowed by the new look, with Sally Carman who plays Abi Franklin, saying: "Gorgeous", while Rachel Leskovac who plays Natasha Blakeman said: "Beaut".
Fans were also full of praise, with one calling her "Goddess" and another saying: "Hair looks amazing."
Many soap fans were also keen to know if her Corrie character would also be sporting the new look in upcoming episodes.
One said: "Beautiful as always. Will we see Emma wearing the new look too?"
While another said: "Love your hair like that. I hope you can wear it like that on Corrie."
But, sorry to disappoint those fans, it appears the new look may not be for very long - as the MEN understands Alexandra was just having some fun experimenting with her hair while on holiday.
Alexandra's character Emma has been involved in dramatic scenes of late, after being dumped by her boyfriend Curtis (played by Sam Retford) - before discovering he was actually trying to push her away due to his secret health battle with a heart condition that could prove fatal at any moment.
In real life, Alexandra recently revealed her joy at getting engaged to her boyfriend Joe in April.
Sharing a series of photos of her engagement ring with friends and followers on Instagram, she said: "Love locked down!! 1000000 times yes! You make me so happy, my face hurts! Love you ridiculously."
