There's going to be some inventive hairstyles emerging from the boredom of lockdown, and the latest addition to the collection is Corrie star Alexandra Mardell.
Ali, who plays barmaid and hairdresser Emma Brooker in Coronation Street, has dyed her hair bright purple.
The actress jokingly blamed the coronavirus lockdown for her decision to switch her style.
"Quarantine made me do it," she wrote, sharing a snap of her dazzling do on Instagram, and her followers agreed that it looks great.
"I love it!!!!" commented former co-star Catherine Tyldesley.
"Wowzers!!" gasped Sally Ann Matthews who plays Jenny Connor in the soap.
"Amazing," said Tina O'Brien.
Ellie Leach, who plays Faye Windass yelled: "OMG LOVE IT."
And Lisa George, who plays Beth Sutherland, exclaimed: "I absolutely love this!!!!!"
Fans also told Ali, who took her new hair on an Easter Sunday walk, that the colour suits her.
"Omg is that the real colour. So jealous," said one.
"Wow that looks amazing," commented another.
The actress, who joined Corrie in 2018, was joined in her home salon by her boyfriend Joe Parker, who went silver.
Co-star Tina, who plays Sarah Barlow, and Lucy Fallon, who played her daughter Bethany Platt, have also been having fun playing around with their looks in lockdown.
Fans agree that they look gorgeous with their new ice cream pastel shades.
Lucy picked a pretty peach and Tina chose a bright pink.
