Nina Lucas faces a life or death decision next week on Coronation Street as Abi Franklin plots her revenge.
The pair have struggled in the wake of Corey Brent murdering Abi’s son Seb Franklin earlier this year in an attack on him and his girlfriend Nina.
Corey recently was found not guilty of killing Seb while Kelly Neelan was wrongfully found guilty and imprisoned.
Next week, after time away from the street, Abi returns leaving partner Kevin Webster stunned as she tells him she took £2,000 for accommodation and food and not for drugs.
Kevin and his son Jack try to make Abi feel welcome at home, but Jack is upset and Kevin’s sister Debbie is angry when Abi makes clear she’s not sure she will be staying.
A confused Kevin wonders what Abi’s words mean, but it appears she has revenge on her mind.
Nina soon calls to visit and see Abi and is puzzled why Abi is not keen to reschedule her wedding to Kevin.
Abi claims she has concerns over organising the ceremony, but Kevin and Debbie make clear they can handle everything for her.
While Kevin seems pleased he and Abi could be back on track, Nina ponders Abi’s strange behaviour.
Later, Nina is distracted by Abi’s behaviour when friend Asha Alahan asks her out on a date, prompting Nina to be distracted and turn her down, leaving Asha upset.
By the end of the week, news spreads around Weatherfield of Corey transferring to a German football club.
Nina is angered as Corey continues to find success despite killing Seb, while her uncle Roy Cropper discovers a notebook containing details of Corey’s training regime.
A suspicious Nina then tells Roy she will track down the owner of the notebook.
Soon Nina has a life or death decision to make as she calls to speak to Abi at Number 13.
