Corrie spoilers next week: Ryan arrested, Stu’s secret exposed and Jodie Prenger's debut

Coronation Street is set for a week of shocks as the police are on the cobbles and a 34-year secret is exposed in Weatherfield.

ITV spoilers have teased a week where Ryan Connor and Debbie Websterare in hot water after their plan to fix money woes backfires, while Jodie Pregner makes her debut on Coronation Street as George's sister.

Elsewhere on the soap, Stu Carpenter is set to be exposed on the ITV soap next week, as Yasmeen Metcalfe discovers the truth of his 34-year secret.

Here is everything to expect on the cobblers next week as Coronation Street returns for another three episodes of drama…

Ryan arrested as Debbie's money scam goes wrong

Debbie (Sue Devaney) has been struggling following an incident in one of her hotels that saw Ed electrocuted in a horror accident, which shed light on Ray’s dodgy shortcuts.

She confided in Ryan (Ryan Prescott) and offered him a proposition, sharing her plans to stage a break in in order to claim money back on the insurance.

ITV spoilers have now revealed that Ryan is arrested on the soap next week, as the pair’s plan goes spectacularly awry.

Debbie’s plan to salvage her finances sees Ryan stage a break-in at the Bistro, so she can make a claim on the insurance.

Despite Debbie’s subsequent second thoughts about the scheme, Ryan decides to fuse the electrics anyway and make a grab for the cash.

But the CCTV has a back-up circuit and isn’t affected by the power cut, so the footage soon reveals that the guilty party is Ryan, who is then arrested on suspicion of theft.

Ronnie will then privately accuse Debbie of orchestrating an insurance scam, while Ryan calls Debbie from the police station and threatens to drop her in it.

Will Debbie come clean or is Ryan destined to lose everything?

Yasmeen kicks Stu out as past secret exposed

Suki from the Gazette interviews Yasmeen, Stu, Dev and Alya about their food-waste initiative, but it’s the story of Yasmeen offering Stu a lifeline when he was homeless that ends up being front and centre of the newspaper article.

In the wake of the publicity, Stu is left horrified when his ex-wife Lucy shows up at Speed Daal and orders him to stay away from their daughter Bridget before dropping a huge bombshell.

How will Yasmeen react when she discovers the secret that Stu has been trying to hide?

Jodie Prenger makes debut as George's sister

It’s a busy week for George, who is seen slugging it out with a rival undertaker before being offered £400,000 to sell the business.

George is thrilled to see his sister (ITV)

Then, after injuring his tooth, George ends up high as a kite on strong painkillers and passes out in the back of a funeral car just before a service is about to start.

It’s at this moment that George’s sister Glenda (played by singing star Jodie Prenger) arrives on the scene out of the blue and takes charge of proceedings.

Thankfully, the funeral unfolds according to plan, while George is ecstatic to see his sibling and introduces Glenda to Eileen.

Tim and Sally’s big bust-up

When Sally discovers that Tim has been browsing explicit websites, she orders him to go to the Casino Night on his own.

When Tim later returns home, he finds a note from Sally telling him that she’s made up the spare bed for him.

The next day, Tim attempts to make peace but his efforts fall flat, with Sally suggesting they spend some time apart.

To give his wife space, Tim heads to Victoria Garden, where he unburdens himself to Aggie, who urges him to share his worries with Sally.

Tim heads home to reveal all to Sal about his fear of dying, but without confessing that his admission has come thanks to prompting from Aggie.

Ken gives Wendy a second chance

Despite Ken having seemingly said goodbye to Wendy the other week, he’ll be seen next inviting her for a coffee.

A drink then turns into the offer of a meal and, pretty soon, Wendy is sharing Ken’s lasagne as he confides that he knows what it’s like to feel lonely as he still misses Deirdre.
