Coronation Street is set to be very emotional next week as young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) prepares to say goodbye to his mother Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) following her tragic death.
Last week saw a second tragedy take place on the cobbles following Johnny Connor being killed off, as Natasha also failed to survive after being shot by drug dealer Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).
Harvey was actually trying to kill Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), but due to both women wearing the same Halloween costume, he ended up shooting Natasha and left her fighting for her life.
Sadly, Natasha didn't survive urgent surgery and passed away - leaving young Sam absolutely devastated.

New ITV spoilers reveal that her funeral will take place next Monday, and as the cars pull up on the street, Sam slips his hand into his father Nick Tilsley's - who squeezes it tightly as Audrey, David and Shona watch on heartbroken.
Once the funeral is over, the mourners gather in the bistro to say farewell to Natasha and Sam silently hands Nick (Ben Price) a piece of paper on which he’s written a eulogy to his mum.

But as Nick reads it out, he struggles to contain his emotions - leaving everyone else with a tear in their eye too.
The following day, Nick and his partner Leanne agree it’s time to seek professional help for Sam.
After a zoom appointment with Sam, Dr Gaddas confirms that she’s referring him to Mental Health Services to undergo talking therapy.

Later on in the week, Nick and Leanne instruct Simon to look after Sam but when he does his best to persuade Sam to leave his bedroom, he's unsuccessful.
Leanne decides to try and do the same and talks to Sam through the locked bedroom door, telling him she understands his pain but as part of his family, she just wants to help.
Will young Sam soften to Leanne? And will Leanne be prepared to play the role of stepmother after the devastating loss of her own young son Oliver?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
