Coronation Street's Max Turner will leave his father David Platt in a deadly showdown with evil Griff.
Max has been groomed by Griff and his evil right wing gang, who targeted Max after he was bullied at school when he lost his place at Weatherfield High. As Griff steps in to confront the bullies, he wins Max's trust. Things have been getting increasingly worse, and after the car he and Max was travelling in blew up, the teenager was rushed to hospital with burns.
He kept his mouth shut about the true cause of it - but in the coming weeks, Max will have a U-turn and finally rat on his evil 'friend'.
Max is questioned by police about his involvement in Griff's gang - but he is soon released without charge. Meanwhile, David is left shocked when his mum Gail decides not to support Max and things get worse when the teenager comes face to face with Griff.
Horrified, Max and Griff face off after the police grilling and Daryan tells David that he had tried to speak to Max but he could hear him arguing with a man inside the house. Panicked, David rushes to the house to find out what's happened.
A fight breaks out in the house between Griff and David - but are Max and David in danger?
Elsewhere, Spider discharges himself from hospital. Toyah Battersby is not impressed by his decision, but he's determined to bring Griff down for good. What risks are he taking? Will he get to Griff before it's too late?
The show's producer previously revealed the storyline will end in a "shocking and thought-provoking climax".
Iain MacLeod, Coronation Street Producer, said: "Overall, Max's story is one about the grooming of a vulnerable teenager at a point where he's feeling most alienated and disenfranchised. The story will encompass the "traditional" recruitment techniques of extremists groups, and we'll see Max befriended in person by older, mentor-like figures that will give him a sense of loyalty and brotherhood.
"Then, later in the story, we will explore a very 21st Century problem: teenagers self-radicalising through watching extreme content online. In the end, we wanted this to be a story about communication within families - what are the right and wrong ways to talk to younger family members who are gravitating towards extreme views? For the conclusion of the story, David's misjudged attempts to deal with Max will drive the narrative to a shocking and thought-provoking climax."
