Corrie spoilers: Laurence's terrifying past comes to light as Sean fears for his life

Coronation Street's Sean will be left fearing for his life - as Laurence's past finally comes to light.

Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) and his partner Laurence Reeves (Robert Shaw Cameron) have been getting on great but fans have been suspicious of him being too good to be true, and next week, his true past leaves Sean horrified as what really happened to his ex-wife is revealed and leaves the factory worker fearing for his own life.

Next week on the ITV soap, Eileen and Todd are determined to get to the bottom of everything that happened in the past and they manage to track down Mitch the taxi driver to find out how it all ended.

Mitch then reveals to the pair that he and Laurence were having an affair when his wife Lindsey ended up falling down the mountain. However, Mitch tells them he suspects foul play and is convinced Laurence pushed her off the mountain.

Stunned by the news about Laurence, Eileen and Todd feel they have no choice but to tell Sean the news.

However, he is left even more concerned when Laurence reveals to Sean that the pair of them are heading on a surprise mini-break involves mountains, as he tries to mask his concern given the news he'd just found out.

"Considering that I honestly expected to do just a small stint, maybe 12 weeks at most, I’m aware how lucky I’ve been to call Weatherfield home for so long," he said previously of his stint on the Cobbles.

Antony described the show as a "giant family", as he added: "Corrie is like a giant family. It feels nice to go to work with people that you know and love... For the past 19 years, I've never wanted to say goodbye to that."
