Corrie spoilers as the Platts prepare to leave Coronation Street

It's impossible to imagine Coronation Street without the Platts but next week the family prepare to say goodbye to Weatherfield.

Number 8, home to one of the most iconic families on the ITV soap, is marked for demolition to make way for Ray Crosby's tower block.

David and his wife Shona are being re-housed elsewhere by the evil entrepreneur, played by Mark Frost.

Ray is duty-bound to provide a new home for the family, and they're being re-housed.

David, Shona and mum Gail pack up the house, dreading their move.

Gail confides in eldest son Nick that she’s too old to be slumming it on a rough council estate, leaving viewers wondering if Nick caves and invite her to move in with him and Sam.

Elsewhere there are harrowing scenes as Faye Windass confesses to police that she was the one who attacked Adam Barlow in a case of mistaken identity after Ray tried to rape her.

Abi Franklin seizes the chance to finally bring her ex down with proof that Ray bribed the planning committee over his plan to buy up half the street.

She confronts him with the footage on her phone and offers to bury it if in return he admits to the attempted rape.

Dylan reveals he's being bullied (ITV)

But her scheme has horrifying consequences when she suddenly collapses.

Also on Corrie, Sean Tully's son Dylan is back in Weatherfield and he explains that he’s being bullied at school because his dad is gay.

Yasmeen Metcalfe suffers a panic attack at work and admits she can’t get her abusive late husband Geoff out of her head, and Elaine Jones advises her to start doing things she knows he’d have disapproved of as a type of therapy.

And Grace Vickers tells Michael Bailey she’s planning to move to Hull to live with her auntie as he  tries to persuade her that it would be best all round if she moved in with him.
