Sally and Tim Metcalfe are pleased when Faye Windass announces she’s no longer going to work for sleazy Ray Crosby on Coronation Street.
But they're unaware of the real reason behind her decision.
In dramatic Corrie scenes screened from Monday December 14, bistro owner Ray finds former waitress Faye in Victoria Gardens where she accuses him of trying to rape her in his office.
Maria Windass arrives and begs her sister-in-law to report him to the police before her husband Gary gets to him. Terrified of her fling with Ray coming out, Faye refuses.
Elsewhere Debbie Webster tries to persuade Gary to reconsider withdrawing the sale of the Underworld factory.
But Gary refuses to do business with Ray as he’s a sex pest, leaving Debbie frustrated.
Meanwhile Sally thinks Tim’s rushing to replace his dad Geoff by asking Elaine, who was recently revealed to be his real mum, to move in.
Paul Foreman begins to trust in Todd Grimshaw as he relaxes with him over a few cans, but he's suddenly reminded of his past with abuser Kel Hinchley.
And Carla Connor begs Peter Barlow to let her help him after he recently fell off the wagon but his son Simon makes it clear she’s no longer welcome.
Simon calls in the cafe and tears a strip off Carla, blaming her for causing Peter to hit the bottle again and she feels terrible.
In a bid to get back at her ex Gary, Sarah Barlow calls Crimestoppers and tells them she knows where a corpse is buried and who put it there.
Elsewhere Simon and Shona Ramsey have a lock-in when Shona sees bistro owner Ray drop his keys, and her husband David is getting flirty with newcomer Daisy.
And Toyah Battersby shares her good news with her sister Leanne that she and Imran have been accepted as foster parents.
Leanne, who recently lost her young son Oliver, assures Toyah she’s pleased for her.
