Corrie spoilers as Hope faces trial for arson and Sarah drops a baby bombshell

Hope Stape the twisted firestarter faces trial on Coronation Street after the findings of the arson attack investigation are revealed.

Devoted mum Fiz spends the night in a police cell, sticking to her story that she started the fire at her ex Tyrone Dobbs and his girlfriend Alina Pop's flat.

But Tyrone, whose loyalties have been divided, tells the police it was Hope that started the fire.

Sarah declares she's willing to consider having a baby (ITV)

As she's released with a caution she finds Tyrone waiting for her and is furious with him for throwing their daughter to the wolves.

Police gently question Hope about the difference between right and wrong and she explains how she used nail polish remover and a candle to set light to the cot but never meant to harm anyone.

And Fiz and Tyrone are reeling as Hope’s solicitor reveals she will be charged after admitting to starting the fire and faces a trial.

Daisy's humiliated in front of Daniel (ITV)

As they prepare to leave for Hope’s sentencing, Tyrone drops the bombshell on Fiz that he’s engaged to Alina.

At the youth court his gran Evelyn Plummer pours scorn on Tyrone for getting engaged by accident and Fiz feels a fool for believing it was over between him and Alina and that he was putting his family first.

In emotional scenes Tyrone blames himself for wrecking everyone’s lives and bursts into tears, and he and Fiz open a bottle of prosecco - but what about Alina?

Elsewhere Daisy Midgeley is interested when she overhears Adam Barlow telling Daniel Osbourne that the house gifted to him by his mum is worth £400,000.

Daisy tries to impress Daniel by claiming to be a lifelong fan of Byron. But her efforts are undermined when Ryan questions why she’s been looking up Byron quotes on her iPad.

She tries to cover for her humiliation by pretending she’s always wanted to be an English teacher and journalist Daniel drops off some teaching books for Daisy with Ryan in the Rovers.

Ryan, wondering why Daisy never mentioned to him her dream of being a teacher but told Daniel, finds himself dumped.

Meanwhile Adam and Sarah Barlow's relationship is looking heathier as they look after Bertie for Daniel and take him for lunch in the bistro.

Watching Adam effortlessly entertaining his toddler cousin prompts Sarah to declare she’s willing to consider having a baby, and Adam is surprised and delighted.
