Coronation Street 's Peter Barlow is set to go on the missing list next week when he learns that his cousin Adam has pulled out of being a donor for him.
The former alcoholic desperately needs a liver transplant in order to get better, and both Adam (Sam Robertson) and Daniel (Rob Mallard) offered to get tested to see if they could be a match.
However, when Adam's wife Sarah (Tina O'Brien) opposes to him going ahead with it, Adam backs out and leaves Peter's wife Carla Connor (Alison King) fuming.
Acting frosty with Sarah, Carla claims Adam has all but signed Peter’s death warrant by pulling out of the transplant.

Meanwhile Daniel breaks the news to Peter (Chris Gascoyne) that unfortunately his liver isn’t compatible, leaving him feeling hopeless.
However, later that day Carla finds Adam and Daniel in the pub and drops the bombshell that the transplant centre has found a liver for Peter but she can’t find him.
Luckily Daniel finds Peter in the bistro, but he's very weak and on the point of collapse.

Explaining that the hospital has found a liver match for him, Carla says an emotional goodbye to Peter as he readies himself for the operation.
Later on in the week, Carla requests time off from work to look after Peter once he's back hom.
Sarah suggests it would be best if she didn’t come back at all after her Lucas debacle, which leaves Carla fuming once again.

Of course, this isn't the first spat that Carla and Sarah have had and it probably won't be the last.
How will Carla react to Sarah's suggestion and will she decide to leave the factory for good?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
