Will Mellor is bursting with pride after announcing that his young niece has joined the cast of Hollyoaks.
The 45-year-old actor kicked off his acting career in the Channel 4 soap playing James "Jambo" Bolton from 1995 until 1998.
Will currently plays drug dealer Harvey Gaskell in Coronation Street, and it seems his niece Kiara is keen to follow in her uncle's footsteps.
Taking to Instagram, Will shared a snap of Kiara posing next to the Hollyoaks village sign.
He wrote alongside the adorable photo: "So proud of my little niece Kiara! On Hollyoaks where it all began for me (sic)."
Will’s sister and Kiara’s mum Gemma wrote on her own Instagram page: "When her dream became a reality! Feeling super proud right now, I can finally talk about it.
"Tonight my daughter made her first appearance on Hollyoaks as Kathleen Angel McQueen.
"Bursting with pride! Words can’t express!" Gemma added.
Young Kiara will be playing the role of Theresa McQueen’s daughter in the popular soap.
Will actually returned briefly to Hollyoaks in 2004, but has since said that he will not be playing Jambo again in the future.
During a candid chat on ITV's Lorraine last year, he told Christine Bleakley: "Hollyoaks started my career, so how could I not be a fan?
"I have a lot to thank Hollyoaks for where I am now and the shows I've done. There's an anniversary coming, sadly I won't be returning, but I have a lot to thank that show for.
"Happy anniversary, Hollyoaks, for when it comes around," he added.
As well as Hollyoaks and Coronation Street, Will has also enjoyed acting roles in Waterloo Road, Broadchurch, Line of Duty, and Sanctuary.
