Tracy found out on their wedding day, after Leanne blurted out the truth, and she punched him in the face during their first dance to (I've Had) The Time Of My Life.
A vengeful Tracy then abandoned him on their honeymoon in Morocco without his passport and returned to street without him, but a repentant Steve made his way home and declared that he wanted to try again.

Assuming her fling was with a man, when Paula emerged from their bathroom he looked past her for someone else.
