Corrie's Todd Grimshaw actor stuns fans as he marks milestone moment

Todd Grimshaw has made quite the return to Coronation Street.

The character returned to screens last year and has certainly made an impact in Weatherfield.

Todd is now played by Gareth Pierce.

He came back to the street with only one thing in mind - winning back Billy Mayhew.

As viewers saw, Todd was successful and even had the vicar, played by Daniel Brocklebank, agreeing to marry him.

But fans were screaming at their TV's as they knew Todd lied and schemed his way back into Billy - and Summer's - affections.

That soon came to a head last month, however, when teenager Will returned and blackmailed Todd after he was originally paid to help him to get Billy's ex Paul Foreman out of the picture.

With his crimes exposed, Billy and Summer vowed to never forgive him and have kicked him out of the flat.

But his funeral director boss George Shuttleworth has took pity on him and let him stay at his until he gets back on his feet.

It's fair to say that Todd - and Gareth - has had a busy year. So much so, Corrie fans have been left stunned by the actor's latest announcement.

"Exactly one year since I started on @coronationstreet," Gareth shared alongside a selfie outside the Salford-based set.

Harriet Bibby, who plays Summer, was among the first to comment, writing: "Amazing!!" with a big love heart emoji.

"Happy anniversary to you & Todd poppet Right where you belong," Laura Neelan actress Kel Allen added.

Fans were also flooding the soap star with pretty much the same message.

"Wow that’s flown by! You’re fab at playing Todd. Looking forward to seeing what other shenanigans he gets up to next," one said.

Another commented: "Only a year???? Wow seems like you’ve been there for much longer! Love your character."

"Happy 1 year anniversary. What a year you have had," a third added.

A fourth said: "And entirely social distancing too! Well done on your first year."

"Don't EVER leave!" another fan demanded.

Gareth's anniversary comes at the same time as co-star Colson Smith makes a decade on the soap.

The Craig Tinker actor took to Instagram to let fans know it had been "10 years of Tinks," on Thursday.

The now 22-year-old was just 11 when he joined on-screen mum Beth Tinker - or Beth Sutherland as she is now known - in Weatherfield back in 2011.
