Corrie's Todd Boyce teases who Stephen will kill next - with one likely resident ruled out

Coronation Street star Todd Boyce has revealed who Stephen Reid will kill next on the ITV soap.

The serial killer has been causing havoc on the Cobbles - having already murdered Leo and his father Teddy as well as his business associate Rufus - but it looks like more death will hit the residents of Weatherfield very soon.

Asked by This Morning's soap expert Sharon Marshall if Stephen might kill again, actor Todd Boyce teased: "A few people are getting on my wick," as Sharon begged for it not to be Elaine or anyone sitting next to him.

As he looked down the line up to see Channique, who plays Dee-Dee, Tina, who plays Sarah, and Elle, who plays Amy, he insisted: "No no one here," as Channique quickly added: "Todd is like the nicest member of the cast though."

His admission means that it won't be Sarah Platt who meets her end, despite actress Tina O'Brien previously hinting she could die at the hands of evil serial killer Stephen as the walls close around him.

Discussing how Sarah would react to the world finding out the truth about Stephen, she told Inside Soap: "Oh, she’d be devastated. Sarah looks up to him; he gave her an opportunity and a career in Milan and she listens to his advice. She's oblivious."

Tina then teased that Sarah could be the next to be murdered by Stephen.

Many thought Stephen might kill Sarah (ITV)

She explained: "I don’t think anybody is safe. If he winks at me funny, I’m going to panic and start running from the building! Sarah is one of the closest people to him, so if she finds out, she might be the next one to go."

Actor Todd Boyce previously admitted that the blood "drained from his face" when he found out he was going to be a murderer.

Speaking about the role, he said: "In March, the very start of May, Iain McLeod and I, we sat down on a Zoom and I had no clue I was going to be a murderer. There was a nice period of time that they checked my availability for and I think the blood probably drained from my face when he said, 'You are going to be a murderer'. And then I thought, 'Oh my god I am going to be a baddy', then the blood came back to my face and I thought this is going to be amazing, and he kindly wanted to see if that was ok with me."
