Coronation Street returnee Sharon Bentley's plan to use little Sam to get to Leanne Battersby could be about to backfire, with catastrophic consequences.
Nick Tilsley's young son Sam now seems to be in danger, after Sharon's criminal nephew Harvey appeared to confirm his plan to murder Leanne.
Sharon is secretly trying to help Harvey track down Leanne, her son Simon Barlow and her former partner Nick, who are currently in witness protection.
Harvey and his criminal gang were taken down earlier this month, with Leanne working as an informant for the police - after Simon had got caught up in their drug dealing organisation.
He threatened to kill her for her betrayal, and warned that his heavies would find her - so she and Simon were placed into witness protection, and Nick went with them.
Sharon has been tasked with finding their location, with Harvey claiming he wants to get them to change their statements and not stand against him when it goes to trial.
Using Nick's son Sam, Sharon was seen getting to know him and tricking him into speaking about what Leanne had done during the latest episode.
Not only that, but she made Sam think he could trust her with anything - including any information about his father's whereabouts.
Promising a lonely Sam that she could help him meet up with his dad, knowing this is what he is desperate for, Sharon realised she could abuse Sam's trust to try and find out how to get to Leanne and Simon.
But when she fed back to nephew Harvey, she was left terrified and worried her latest plan had just landed Sam in grave danger.
Harvey turned nasty, and appeared to let slip that he was planning a violent revenge on Leanne, and he didn't care who got hurt in the crossfire.
Sharon refused to be a part of a murder, before Harvey blackmailed her yet again to help him - before leaving her worried he was going to have someone hurt Nick's son to get what he wanted.
As Sharon begged him to leave Sam out of it, Harvey ended the call leaving her horrified - but will Sam be in danger?
