Corrie's Sally Metcalfe fears for her life as she takes action against Geoff Metcalfe

Coronation Street airs tense scenes this week, as Sally Metcalfe takes on Geoff Metcalfe and is left fearing the worst.

The character has been trying to make husband Tim see the truth about his abusive father for months, and now the time has finally come.

Geoff had coercively controlled, manipulated and isolated wife Yasmeen Nazir for months, before she snapped and attacked him, almost killing him.

She remains in prison for the crime, while many of her loved ones and Sally have tried to expose Geoff.

Next week she takes action yet again, hoping to stumble upon the key evidence that will finally reveal the abuse.

Sally recalls Yasmeen telling her about the CCTV camera Geoff used to spy on her at home.

Geoff of course deleted the app and any footage as the investigation began, covering his tracks.

But Sally decides that this could be the thing that brings him down, with pal Cathy revealing it will be on his laptop if anywhere.

Making an excuse to get the keys for the place, Sally goes snooping and spots the laptop.

She quickly picks up and puts it in her bag to take with her, only for Geoff to walk into the room.

Sally is clearly fearful of what might happen if she's alone with him, given their recent run-ins, let alone if he sees what she's taken.

As he grills her over why she's there, Sally is forced to make up a reason but will he believe her?

In the next episode, Sally is suddenly seen racing out of the house and shouting for help, as Tim takes her home.

What has gone on between Sally and Geoff in the house, and should she be worried about taking him on?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm on ITV.
