Corrie's Kym Marsh calls new husband the love of her life in gushing tribute

Kym Marsh has paid a gushing tribute to her new husband while sharing a first look at her wedding on Instagram.

The former Coronation Street recently tied the knot with beau Scott Ratcliff at Sandhurst's Royal Memorial Chapel.

And looking back on the big day, she said she was "lucky" to have met the love of her life, reports Manchester Evening News.

Kym, 45, and Scott, 33, married in the intimate ceremony four months after getting engaged on Kym's birthday.

The Morning Live presenter was walked down the aisle by her dad, Dave, before the couple said 'I do' in front of family and friends in the stunning military ceremony.

Kym and Scott began dating back in 2018 after being introduced by their mutual friend Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in Corrie.

So due to to Antony's special role in their relationship, he got an important role on the day too as Master of Ceremonies

And Kym's former on-screen family member Alison King, known to soap fans as Carla Connor, was also part of the bridal party.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Kym shared a photo from her wedding album that showed her and Scott in a warm embrace on the dancefloor.

"Take me back to 3 weeks ago when I married the love of my life!!!" she shared with her thousands of followers.

And fans were quick to comment.

"Congratulations! Wishing you all the best, always! Absolutely stunning," one said.

Another commented: "Beautiful pic, Kym! That is complete and utter happiness, right there. Congratulations and lots of love."

"Congratulations Kym, beautiful couple," a third added.

A fourth commented: "I'm so happy for u what a lovely pic too xxxx."

But Kym was also defended by her followers after some unkind comments were made.

"Such a lovely pic and you keep posting..Some folk clearly have nothing to do but follow people and post negativity..." one fan shared.

Another echoed: "Some of these comments are vile, clearly have nothing better to do with there time. I have your back always. You deserve all the love and happiness, ily."

"Beautiful picture glad you found the one. People who leave negative comments are only jealous. You deserve all the happiness in the world," a third shared.

Corrie stars Jane Danson who plays Leanne Battersby, Tristan Gemmill who played Kym's late husband Robert Preston in the soap, Chris Gascoyne who plays Peter Barlow, Sally-Ann Matthews who plays Jenny Connor and Ryan Prescott who plays Kym's on-screen son Ryan Connor were also in attendance on the day.

Pride of Britain host Carol Vorderman and Kym's friends and colleagues from BBC's Morning Live, which Kym presents with Gethin Jones, were also among the guests.
