Corrie's Jack P Shepherd fears he will be sacked from Corrie if he joins I'm A Celeb

Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd can be crossed off the list for this year's I'm A Celebrity as he's convinced joining the series would get him sacked from the soap.

Plenty of Corrie stars have swapped the Cobbles for the Australian jungle in recent years, and Jack would be a fan favourite to go in for 2019.

However, he's ruled out ever signing up as he fears doing something bad Down Under could cost him his regular job.

He told the Daily Star ; "I'd say something un-pc or upset someone and come out and have no job."

"I don't think work would let me."

Jack is not a stranger to saying the wrong thing. He recently made a comment about his co-star Brooke Vincent's cleavage on Instagram sparking outrage.

He wrote, "T**s on that, JEEESSSUUSSS!!!"

His comment provoked a lot of complaints on social media and as way of revenge, Brooke made him her personal tea-maker during filming on set for Corrie.

Luckily the pair have grown up together so know each other well and Brooke took it with a pinch of salt.

Her other co-star, Adam Thomas also made a comment, saying: "Good push-up that hahaha"

We can now see why Jack fears he may not be able to hold his tongue if invited to the celebrity jungle.

Probably best he stays at home.

Corrie's Antony Cotton and Jennie Alpine have already taken part in the series.
