Corrie's Fiz savagely dumps Phill moments after marrying him and reunites with Tyrone

Coronation Street aired heartache on Friday night, as Fiz Brown made a brutal decision on her wedding day.

Moments after tying the knot with Phill Whittaker, the soap favourite decided life with Phill wasn't for her and that she didn't really love him.

Despite going through with the wedding, while she appeared to have second thoughts during the vows, Fiz waited until the reception to break the news.

Pretending everything was fine and that she was happy, it all became too much and she broke down, before confessing all to a devastated Phill.

A series of hiccups over the past few weeks left both of them worried the universe was trying to tell them something, that their romance was never going to work.

But they fought for their big day, even when the registrar was cancelled on the morning of the wedding.

While Phill's mother was blamed, it soon emerged it was Fiz's daughter Hope Stape who had caused the mishap - and other things.

From destroying the bridesmaid dresses to luring Phill's ex-wife Camilla to Weatherfield, Hope did what she could to stop the wedding.

Wanting her to reunite with her ex Tyrone Dobbs, Hope confessed to her antics and revealed she did it so they could be together.

But Fiz went ahead with the wedding, as Tyrone watched on upset he had lost her.

After Fiz initially paused during her vows, she married Phill and the pair soon celebrated with their loved ones.

It's during the celebrations though that Fiz began crying and asked to speak with him, before dropping the news that she didn't love him and she couldn't continue their big day.

She claimed she lied to herself and him, and only realised that morning that she didn't love him.

He told her to leave before he revealed all to the shocked guests - but there was another twist in store.

Fiz went straight to Tyrone's house and revealed she dumped Phil because she loved him instead.

Tyrone was reeling but soon the pair kissed and reconciled - so how will Phill react when he finds out the truth?
