Corrie's Faye Brookes shares secret DM Gemma Collins sent her after DOI debut

Faye Brookes has revealed that TOWIE star Gemma Collins reached out to her after she made her Dancing on Ice debut.

Proving that the reality TV star - who herself competed on the skating show back in 2020 - is throwing support behind for the former Coronation Street sensation and professional partner Hamish Gaman, she penned a kind message to Faye via her Instagram inbox.

Actress Faye, 33, was happy to see the GC, 40, pop up in her social media DMs and even gushed that she is the "most famous person" to ever type her a note online.

She told OK! magazine: “The most famous person to slide into my DMs is the most recent, Gemma Collins, she was rooting for Hamish and I after we performed 'Lover' on Dancing on Ice.”

Faye recently said she is in the best shape ever thanks to brutal Dancing On Ice training.

Faye told The Mirror: "I am using muscles I have never used before.

"I love to train, I love to keep fit and dance, I love to do different classes, shake it up, do a home workout, I'm up for anything. But this, they say it is hard but it is more than that – it is so challenging.

"The good side to it all is that I am keeping in shape and the best shape I have been in for a while."

She added: "Mentally I am being challenged, physically I am being challenged and that makes you feel like you really need to enjoy – your body is in harmony, there's a balance somewhere.

This year's series of the ice show has been filled with drama.

Earlier this week, Rufus Hound was axed from Dancing On Ice after testing positive for Covid-19.

The comedian, 41, missed the third week of the ITV skating show after coming into contact with someone with coronavirus and was forced to isolate.

He has now been forced to pull out altogether and won't skate again.

Rufus took to Twitter to confirm the news tonight, writing: "I will no longer be participating in @dancingonice COVID is - as I'm sure we're all well aware - a b*****d and sadly the world isn't short of those."

ITV have confirmed that Rufus will be replaced by comedian Matt Richardson and his pro-skater partner Vicky Ogden.

Rufus is the second celebrity who has been forced to pull out of the competition after Denise Van Outen was replaced after suffering an injury.
