Coronation Street 's Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) meets a handsome doctor in upcoming scenes, after it was revealed at the end of 2020 that she was heading for a romance storyline.
But Steve McDonald is less than impressed when he realises he recognises the trainee doctor, named Curtis.
Emma is delighted when a good looking young man offers to help her move some barrels into the cellar, but Steve is furious when he spots her having a drink with Curtis, the hooligan who knocked him off his bike - causing him to come last in the charity fundraiser.
When Amy tentatively suggests that he is becoming a bit obsessed with his fundraising and worries he is heading for another breakdown, Steve realises she has a point.
Steve tells Emma that from now on, he is going to spend more time concentrating on his family, so Emma suggests they could do some fundraising together and Steve is touched.
Steve tells Emma that he intends to put things right with Curtis, so they meet up and Curtis apologises for his behaviour.
When Curtis reveals he’s got an interview at the bistro, Steve offers to give him some pointers, before Steve and Emma put Curtis through a mock interview.
When Curtis reveals that he’s training to be a doctor, Emma swoons and even Steve is impressed.
Later, an upbeat Curtis calls in the Rovers and tells Emma and Steve that thanks to their help, he got the job at the bistro.
Could this be the start of something special for Emma and Curtis?
Corrie boss Iain Macleod confirmed last year that unlucky-in-love Emma would find her Prince Charming, but would give no more information away.
He told The Sun: "There’s what I think will be a really brilliant storyline for Emma but I can’t talk about it in a lot of detail without giving it away.
"There’s a massive new love story for Emma. Emma wants her prince charming and she’s going to get her wish, but it’s going to be a very interesting version of her wish.
"She’s going to get the man of her dreams."
Emma has so far been in love with David Platt, who is married to Shona McGarthy, Chesney Brown - who ended up with Gemma Winter, and Seb Franklin, but their relationship ended when his ex Alina Pop arrived.
