Corrie's Daniel Osbourne makes a lifesaving offer to alcoholic Peter Barlow

Daniel Osbourne extends a lifeline to Peter Barlow on next week's Coronation Street after he recently hit the bottle again.

Peter Barlow returns from Scotland explaining he hasn’t touched a drop of alcohol. But at the hospital Peter, played by Chris Gascoyne, is told there’s no improvement in his liver function.

Peter has a shock when his half brother Daniel, played by Rob Mallard, steps in to say he'd be prepared to be his liver donor if he’s a match, and he's adamant he doesn't deserve the help.

Peter instructs his solicitor nephew Adam Barlow to draw up an Advance Decision to Refuse Treatment declaration.

Fearing he drove Peter to this because of his fling with his partner Carla Connor, Adam reveals to Carla that her man plans to refuse a transplant, and sadly Peter goes off the rails again.
