Corrie's Daniel Brocklebank soaks up the bank holiday sun with former EastEnders star

Corrie's Daniel Brocklebank kicked back in the sunshine on bank holiday Monday with a former fellow soap star.

Daniel, who plays Billy Mayhew in Coronation Street, soaked up the sun with Jonny Labey who played Paul Coker in the BBC soap EastEnders.

The 41-year-old, who has played archdeacon Billy since 2014, shared a snap on his Instagram of the pair sunbathing topless, and in the picture they were joined by one of Daniel's adorable pet pooches.

"Bank holiday brilliance with @jonnylabey," wrote Daniel with a love heart.

Fans were delighted to see the pair, who starred in the lead roles in the 2015 film Soft Lad, together.

"Looking good there guys," said one.

Jonny also shared a photo of the pair smiling together with food and drinks in the background.

"Bank holidays done RIGHT! @danielbrocklebank," he cheered.

Jonny, 28, joined the cast of EastEnders in 2015 as Paul, the grandson of Les and Pam Coker.

The character fell in love with Ben Mitchell but was tragically killed off in a shocking homophobic attack in 2016.

The following year he was a contestant on the ITV contest Dance Dance Dance, which saw celebs showcase their dance talents.

He went on to win the show with his then-girlfriend Chrissy Brooke.

In 2019 he competed in The X Factor: Celebrity but was eliminated in the second week after landing in the bottom two with Martin Bashir.

Catherine Tyldesley, who played Eva Price in Corrie, also revealed that she had spent time with Daniel on the bank holiday.

Sharing her joy at bumping into her former cast-mate with her husband Tom Pitfield and their son Alfie she wrote on her Instagram: "What a glorious day with my boys. And bumping into @danielbrocklebank made me all warm inside."

And he replied: "Darling. I can’t tell you how joyful it was to bump into you and the boys today!"

Co-star Samia Longchambon who plays Maria Connor commented with cheeky-face and blowing kiss emojis: "I wanna bump into you and @danielbrocklebank too @auntiecath17."
