Daniel Osbourne is heading for a tough time in Coronation Street.
Fans of the ITV soap have been watching closely as Summer Spellman developed a crush on her teacher and neighbour.
The teen has been seeking help from Daniel with her application to Oxford University but she has mistaken his kindness for something much more.
Completely oblivious, Daniel has been continuing to help Summer while also relying on her to help look after his son, Bertie.

But Summer has had a case of the green-eyed monster after spotting Daniel sneaking around with Daisy Midgeley.
Corrie fans have also noticed that Max Platt may be developing a crush on Summer after she began mentoring him.
Things, however, will take a sinister turn during the first full week of December.
Early soap spoilers show that Daniel will be accused of grooming Summer after Max confronts his teacher at the school's winter ball.
It all starts when Amy and Asha are scrolling through Daisy’s Instagram pics, admiring her tiny waist when Summer puts her sandwich down.
Daniel arrives and praises the Ice Ball decorations, but as Summer sways slightly and admits she skipped lunch, he grabs her arm to steady her.
But a suspicious Max films their exchange and when Daniel slips an energy bar into Summer’s bag, Max catches the act on camera.
Rifling through her bag, Max pockets the love poem Daniel wrote down for Summer, assuming it to be proof of a relationship.
Later, after knocking back some vodka, Max confronts Daniel at the Ice Ball, accusing him of abusing his position with Summer.
Daniel’s shell shocked as Max claims he has proof.
Daniel takes Summer to one side and tells her about Max’s allegations leaving her mortified and vowing to put Max straight.
But when Summer belittles Max she has no idea of what she’s unleashed in Max as he does his worst.
A distraught Summer assures Billy and Paul that Daniel is entirely innocent as Mrs Crawshaw, interviews first Max, then Daniel.
Max shows her the film and poem he found in Summer’s bag, while Daniel assures her that he has never behaved inappropriately with a pupil.
Summer confirms to Mrs Cranshaw that Daniel’s done nothing wrong. But when she confides in Paul how she and Daniel connected emotionally but he couldn’t act upon it because of his position, Paul’s horrified, convinced he was grooming her.
Soon a police officer arrives and asks Summer if she was the female who Daniel had hidden in his flat last week but a desolate Summer confirms it wasn’t her.
Summer is furious with Paul for going to the police, pointing out that Daniel had a girlfriend all along.
The teen later opens up to Daisy, explaining how Daniel only ever showed her kindness but she had a huge crush on him.
So will Daisy be able to help Daniel find a way through this mess?
