Corrie's Corey vows to take down innocent Kelly with incriminating Seb murder lie

Corey Brent goes to cruel lengths to avoid justice on Coronation Street next week, as he takes to the stand in court over Seb Franklin's murder.

The character killed Seb after targeting his girlfriend Nina Lucas in a hate crime earlier this year, with Kelly there when it happened.

While she did slap Nina and stalked the couple, along with two of Corey's pals, she didn't actually attack Seb it is revealed in scenes next week.

Eli and another teen attacked Nina, leaving her fighting for her life, while Corey brutally kicked Seb and he later died from his serious injuries.

Kelly was recently arrested for the crime while Corey was allowed to stay at his home before the court case, with him having pinned the crime on Kelly.

Next week, he steps this up with an incriminating lie that could see teen Kelly sent down for a crime she did not commit.

He plays the victim with a tale of how Kelly threatened him to stay silent over her crime, after he tried to stop her.

Of course viewers will know after seeing flashback scenes next week that this was in fact the other way around, with Kelly trying to help Seb before they all left the pair for dead.

While Kelly was involved she did not unleash the fatal attack on Seb, and her lawyer Imran is keen to prove this was Corey as he interrogates him in court.

Corey is soon left rattled, as he realises his story is not believed by everyone and is soon picked apart by Imran.

He's quite happy to set Kelly up for murder though, knowing the charge she could be facing behind bars.

Kelly is left tearful and mortified to see what her former pal is doing to her, as he claims he was silenced by her and that he was not involved.

Talk turns to Kelly's gangster dad Rick Neelan, who some know is actually dead - with Corey telling the court he was threatened by Kelly regarding her gangster connections.

Eli is soon forced to take to the stand, with Imran accusing him also of lying about Kelly - leaving Corey uneasy.

But will Eli crumble apart in front of the judge as his version of events is cross-examined, and where will this leave Corey and Kelly?
