Corrie's Colson Smith left 'crying' after agonising foot injury on Christmas Day

Coronation Street actor Colson Smith has been left in agony after suffering a running accident on Christmas Day.

The 22-year-old star, who lost over 10 stone throughout 2020, revealed that he hasn't been able to see a specialist while suffering with a painful foot.

It came after the Corrie actor - who plays Craig Tinker - decided to go on a run on Christmas Day, which he now admits wasn't a good idea.

Speaking on the Sofa Cinema Club podcast, Colson said he was 'frustrated' by the pain but had struggled to find a physio that would help him over the festive period.

"It's at the point where I'm crying at night now," he said on the podcast.

"I've rang about 14 physios today and none of them are open because it's Christmas."

"I ran on Christmas Day, which might not have been the smartest move in hindsight.

Colson added: "It's pain you can cope with and then it's not pain you can cope with. It's weird.

"It just isn't right. It's annoying, and it's really, really frustrating," Colson explained.

Colson has kept up with his impressive exercise routine and revealed over the summer that he was able to lose ten stone in weight throughout the lockdown.

Speaking to The Sun as the cast geared up to return to set over the summer, Colson admitted that he had experienced quite some changes.

"We are in direct continuity, but I've almost lost about ten stone since we left work so I'm not sure that [my hair] is going to be the biggest of their issues," he told the publication.

"I might be wearing a wig and a fat suit when we go back."

While Colson is currently struggling with a painful foot, it hasn't stopped the actor keeping up with his healthy routine.
