Beverley Callard's co-star Charlie Lawson has revealed that the actress won't be putting up with any irritating behaviour while she's appearing on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! 2020.
The 63-year-old Coronation Street star is currently being put through her paces alongside 11 other celebrity contestants at Gwrych Castle in North Wales.
Charlie - who played Beverley's on-screen husband Jim McDonald - has nothing but praise for his close friend and is confident that she is a 'tough cookie' who can survive anything thrown her way.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Charlie also revealed that Bev won't be afraid to put her I'm A Celeb co-stars in their place.
"Beverley doesn't suffer fools gladly. If anybody thinks they're the dogs b******* or they're trying to be number one, she won't stand for it," Charlie told the publication.
"If you hear her saying something like "Who the f*** does he/she think they are?" then you'll know trouble is brewing!
He added: "She's really a tough cookie."
Although Charlie suggests that Beverley has a fiery streak, the actor maintained that he was never on the receiving end when they worked together.
Charlie went on to explain that the stars "respected each other deeply" however he did see other actors land themselves in the firing line in the past.
It has now been over a week since Beverley made her debut on ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
So far, the actress appears to have made a good group of friends in camp and has even bravely faced several Bushtucker Trials so far.
However, the actress also left some viewers baffled after revealing that she had been vegan since March and thus unable to take part in some of the more gruesome eating challenges.
Despite this, some eagle eyed fans have accused the actress of eating non-vegan treats during her time in the castle.
