He was storing it for Billy in the builder's yard, and has no idea that Todd snuck in and stole it to get some cash after being blackmailed for a lot of money by Will.

Ed's news leaves Billy mortified, as he used funds from the church to pay for the pump and now they are out of pocket.

Billy worries about how this all looks and believes he can no longer do his beloved job.

He arranges a meeting with the bishop, and it's then that he announces he plans to resign as archdeacon.

Explaining that he doesn't feel as though he is fit for the job after the theft, he stuns everyone with his life-changing news.

Todd is left feeling extremely guilty about the whole thing, when he realises what he's done.

He walks in to Billy making the announcement with the bishop, and can do nothing but watch on in horror.

Harriet is devastated for Billy, and ends up confronting his ex Paul about the crime after his wrongful arrest.

Paul is accused of stealing the pump after a row with Ed before the crime, which happened to be about money issues.

Harriet tells him the incident has cost Billy his beloved job, but will she believe that he is innocent?

Todd has allowed him to take the blame, but whether it will all soon come out remains to be seen.
