Coronation Street's Alina Pop was the victim of an arson attack last week, as her flat was deliberately set on fire while she was sleeping inside.
Viewers know that her 10-year-old stepdaughter Hope Stape was the culprit, and they're not alone as her parents also know what she's done.
Hope did not know pregnant Alina was inside the flat when she set it ablaze, hoping to destroy the things Alina and boyfriend Tyrone had bought for their unborn baby.
She also wanted to ruin the flat so that her dad Tyrone could return home, following his split from her mother Fiz Brown recently.
In heartbreaking scenes last week, Alina sadly suffered a miscarriage and lost her unborn baby boy in the fallout of the fire, leaving her and Tyrone devastated.
After the tragedy, Fiz learned it was Hope behind the blaze and Tyrone also soon discovered what had happened.
He allowed the mother and daughter to flee Weatherfield in fear of Hope being found out, while Alina is still struggling to work out what happened.
Knowing it was arson, she immediately suspected love rival Fiz of being the arsonist - unaware that stepdaughter Hope was to blame.
Next week, spoilers reveal the grieving character will stop at nothing to find out what happened and who caused the fire.
She begins to worry that she was the victim of a sickening murder plot, as revenge for her past.

Alina helped bring down a human trafficking ring at the salon she worked at a few years ago, of which she was a victim of.
Now, Alina fears that one of the gangs are back for revenge and maybe set fire to her flat to kill her.
She confronts former boss Rachel who forced her to work long hours at the salon, but Rachel claims innocence.
It's not long until Alina uncovers the distressing truth though, when Tyrone is forced to tell her he's been lying to her.
Tyrone confirms it was his daughter Hope behind the blaze leaving Alina gobsmacked and horrified.
But what will she do with the information, and can she ever forgive Tyrone or Hope for the pain that has been caused?
