Corrie reviewed as it hasn't been the best week for the women on the cobbles

It's been a case of women behaving badly on Coronation Street as secrets and lies have been causing drama. After Sarah Barlow jumped into bed with drug dealer Damon Hay, Beth Sutherland and Faye Windass have been up to no good this week.

They've been sneaking around meeting their exes - and that was after Alya Nazir stamped on Ryan Connor's heart. Then he was misled by his Ibiza friend Crystal into thinking he still had a job lined up as a DJ as he comes to terms with being struck in the face with acid in a horrifying attack.

In Wednesday night's episode (April 19) Faye and Jackson arranged to meet in town for a drink after his interview, and Faye lied to Craig that she was meeting a girlfriend. Meanwhile a guilty Beth told husband Kirk she couldn't make the meal he had booked as she was meeting some old pals for a drink.

Faye was really meeting Jackson in a hotel bar, and there was an awkward confronation when her boyfriend Craig's mum Beth arrived at the same bar with Marco in tow. Beth was persuaded to go home to her husband Kirky and the two women made peace, agreeing that they love their men.

But there was a shock for Faye on Corrie as Jackson confessed he wants them to start a new life as a family together with daughter Miley. And despite Faye letting Marco down gently, she found Kirk in the process of moving out after twisted Hope Stape sent him photo of his wife smooching the other man.

Daisy Midgeley and Carla Connor have been the exception (ITV)

The deception has soap watchers taking to Twitter to have a vent this week. @gorgerymil8 fumed: "Corrie seems to have a lot of women cheating or about to cheat... Sarah, Beth, Faye...?" and @page_lace30 complained: "Too many Corrie women slipping."

And @THEJohnMcNee said: "Always gaslighting Ryan, Crystal dumping him, Daisy manipulating him into an emotional crisis, Beth playing away, Jenny STILL flirting with Stephen...Not a proud day for the ladies of Coronation Street."

But Carla and Daisy have been the exceptions, both being the driving force behind Ryan when he needed it the most as his facial injuries were revealed to him for the first time in hospital and he was told he needed a skin graft as the wounds weren't healing as they would like. After he went missing they were the ones to find Ryan and get him back to hospital.
