Corrie reveals fate of characters in horror shooting aftermath - but one is missing

Coronation Street have teased the fate of a number of characters after this week's horror shooting.

Spoilers for next week have revealed a little more of what happens next following the shooting this week, which sees Kelly Neelan, Gary Windass and Aadi Alahan all get caught up in a shooting as kidnapper Kieron - hired by Kelly - turns nasty. Kieron plans to kill both Kelly and Gary in a murder suicide plot, but both him and Gary rush to her aid on the rooftop.

As a gun shot rings out, there are lives hanging in the balance - but who is injured, and does anyone lose their life?

Whilst show bosses are keeping things under wraps, spoilers for next week tease what happens in the aftermath - as the police start to investigate the shooting. But are they investigating a murder too?

Gary and Kelly's name are both missing from the spoilers whilst Aadi is mentioned in passing, as Dev laments to Bernie about his son when she breaks his first ever golf trophy whilst cleaning. He pours out his heart to Bernie, as he blames himself for not protecting Aadi like he could, as Bernie reassures him that no one could ask for a better dad.

So it seems like Aadi is alright - but what's happened to Gary and did Kelly die in her exit scenes?

Actor Mikey North previously teased to The Mirror and other press that the dramatic scenes take things "full circle".

"I think it was inevitable that this was the way it would end. I'm just really happy that he sort of comes full circle and we were ending up where we began. It was always gonna happen, it was just a case of when," he shared.

"I couldn't be more happy with with how it's turned out. This block of episodes has been the best block that I've ever been involved with in 15 years here. The collaboration of all the departments coming together to really want to make this work, and obviously we're using new technology and just the nature of all it needed. Everyone's really pulled together."

Mikey explained that Gary is a "cat with nine lives" but he's already used a lot of them up - so what will this spell for the future?

"I think he's always trying to be one step ahead. You know, he's got himself out of many sticky situations down the years, I always say he's like a cat with nine lives. This is getting pretty drastic now and I think the crux of it is, when he has his life at stake, he sort of knew it would always end like this," he revealed of the upcoming scenes.

"But when he finds out that Kelly's involved you know, he is willing to die for that girl, and that's the start of this story and, this is what plays out. But I think he feels more fear when it comes to other people being in danger as opposed to himself. The stuff when she's in danger up on the roof, he will happily go off that roof for that girl, he really genuinely would jump off if it meant saving her. That is his main aim whether he dies or not is of no consequence to him. He's just looking to save Kelly. That's how things play out."
